For apps not in the public catalog, upload your own .exe, .msi, or .msix installer. Agentic Packr's AI finds the silent switches, detection rule, and uninstall command, then builds and tests a PSADT package and .intunewin file in Splashtop's cloud.
Note: The free plan includes 5 custom apps and 10 packaging jobs per month. The quota resets on the 1st of each month; failed uploads do not count toward it.
-
Open Catalog, click Add Package, and select Upload Installer. (The WinGet and Chocolatey options import from those repositories instead.)
-
Drag your installer onto the drop zone, or click it to browse. Supported formats: .exe, .msi, and .msix, up to 500 MB. Scroll inside the dialog to see all fields.
-
Leave AI Mode selected (recommended).
Use Manual Mode only if you know the silent switches or AI Mode failed. In Manual Mode, you enter the app name, version, and silent install parameters. Under Advanced Options, you can set the installer type, uninstall method, detection method, and programs to close.
-
Enter a Package name for your catalog. The field is prefilled with the file name; select the existing text before you type, or your text will be added to the file name.
-
Leave Installation Timeout at 600 seconds unless the installer is large or slow (range 60 to 3600 seconds).
-
Check the Included line at the bottom (PSADT package and .intunewin), then click Start Packaging.
A progress bar shows the upload. When the upload finishes, the Upload Complete dialog shows a job ID. Packaging takes 5 to 15 minutes.
-
Click View Job Status to open Monitoring → Background Jobs. The Queue Health tiles show the state of the queue, and a running job has Logs and Stop buttons. You can also return later from Catalog → Private → View Job Status, or from the Tasks tray in the header.
-
Click Logs. The Pipeline tab shows seven steps: fetch metadata, analyze installer, build PSADT package, build Intune package, test install/detection/uninstall on a clean VM, scan for malware, and publish to catalog.
Tip: If progress stays at 30% for several minutes, the job is waiting for a packaging machine. This is normal.
-
When the job shows Completed, open the Report tab and check that every line says SUCCESS. The report starts with the installer reputation checks and ends with Overall: SUCCESS. If a step failed, the Execution Log explains why.
-
Optional: in the Execution Log, search for "Analysis Decisions" to see the switches, uninstall method, and detection rule the AI chose. Use Copy Logs to share them with Splashtop support.
-
Open Catalog → Private. Uploaded installers have a Private badge; catalog apps you deployed are listed here too, with an Intune badge. The card shows the icon, description, publisher, and version. The name may be the one the AI detected rather than what you typed, and the publisher is shown exactly as the installer declares it.
The package page does not show the install command or detection rule. Download the PSADT package to inspect them.
-
Click Deploy to Intune and follow the same steps as in "Deploy an app from the catalog to Intune."
Important: For uploaded installers, the update-only app only recognizes copies that Agentic Packr installed. Choose Installs from Agentic Packr in the deploy dialog and use the Required group to reach devices.
